Very interesting. Christianity is a monist anti-ethnic religion, obsessed with the hate of the body and the necessity for humans to prove themselves worthy of being "saved". It is a convert-or-die ideology since the beginning, and there has always been religious wars between christians. Polyist ethnic religions are about culture, nature, land, animals, and people, and worshipping gods, spirits, and genius. The difference lies indeed in their very nature. Monist unanimist salvationist duty on one side, polyist acceptance and the respect of the infinite diversity of divinities, spirits, and cosmic rules on the other side.

Monists can't apprehend the world because it is always on or off, good or bad, and there is only one "Truth" for them. Polyists never fight for "one truth" because they know the complexity of the aspects of the world, and the numerous path to access some truths. Monists reject everything that is not simple, monolithic, and first degree.

Monotheism can't be polyist, it is not just a matter of "one god or multiple gods", and polyist can't accept that single principle or divine tyrant intended to explain the world.
